"Feeeels safe with my dog’s info"
I was a little nervous about sending in a DNA test for my dog, but Wisdom Panel does a good job explaining the privacy stuff. I like that I can poke around in my account settings and it doesn’t feel sketchy or anything. Some of the data-sharing wording could definitely be simpler thoughhh. Overall, I feel confident using it, just not totally 100% carefree.

"Results were quick, quick enough to surprise me"
I got the Wisdom Panel test and thought I’d be waiting way longer. But once they received the sample, the results came back fast, like really fast. I didn’t have to keep checking or wonder what was going on. It was easy, easy from start to finish, and the turnaround time was a nice surprise.

"Pretty cool ancestry info"
I was surprised by how much detail Wisdom Panel gave me about my dog’s background. Seeing his breed mix was really fun and it actually matched his looks and the way he acts

"The trait results were weirdly accurate"
I ordered Wisdom Panel just because I was curious, not expecting much. But then the trait results came back and I went from laughing to being genuinely impressed because so much of it fit my dog perfectly, his coat, his size, even how much he sheds all over my house.
Some of the smaller details really got me, like I kept saying, “Okay, yep, that is absolutely him.” It’s not like it changed my whole life or anything, but it did make me feel closer to understanding him, and that was actually cool.

I had a question about my dog’s results and couldn’t figure out where to find a specific part of the report. I reached out to Wisdom Panel support thinking I’d probably be waiting a few days for an answer.

They replied much faster than I expected, and the response was actually helpful instead of some generic copy-and-paste message. It was easy, clear, and left me feeling really satisfied with the support I received.

"Shipping was easy and on time"
I ordered the Wisdom Panel kit and, at least for my order, it showed up right when they said it would. The tracking updated normally too, so I wasn’t just wondering where the package was or anything.

I sent it back later that week and the return shipping was painless too. I’m not really sure how it compares to other kits, but the shipping part was smooth and I didn’t run into any delays or weird issues

"Test was okay, but the site got on my nerves"
The actual test was fine, no real complaints there. But the website kind of made everything feel harder than it needed to be. Maybe it was just my connection, but pages were loading slowly, and then I kept having to click around to find stuff that felt like it should’ve been obvious. Like, I’d finish one thing, expect the results to be right there, and instead I was wandering through menus thinking, wait, did I miss a link somewhere? Some of the links almost felt hidden. It wasn’t a total disaster or anything, just annoying in that small-but-constant way that makes the whole experience less smooth.

"First impression was okay, but the swab was frustrating"
When the kit first arrived, my initial impression was that everything looked fine and straightforward. But once I actually tried to do the cheek swab, it was more annoying than I expected. My dog kept moving around, and the instructions weren’t as clear as I would’ve liked. It took a few tries to get it done, so that part ended up being frustrating

"Pretty solid for the price"
I was actually happy with this. I wasn’t expecting a full biography of my dog’s ancestry and possible quirks, but apparently that’s what I signed up for. The results were clear, easy to understand, and way more detailed than I thought they’d be. It wasn’t exactly pocket change, because of course learning more about my dog costs more than half the stuff I buy for myself, but it still felt worth it. The whole process was simple enough too, which I appreciated.

I ordered this kind of on a whim because I was so curious about my mixed pup, the results were close to what our vet has always guessed. I had a little “wait, really?” moment with a couple of the tiny breeds listed, but overall it made a lot of sense. It did take a bit longer than I hoped to get the results back, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

"Clear tracking without the usual corporate fluff"
I ordered my Wisdom Panel kit and, the tracking was better than I expected. I’m usually a little skeptical of all the polished company emails that make everything sound smoother than it is, but this was actually straightforward. I could see when it shipped, where it was, and when it was getting close without having to dig around or check five different places. Easy order experience overall, and I’d use them again.

"Health info felt generic"
I got the health screening for my dog hoping it would give me a little more useful insight, but the results were broad. It pointed out a few things and then basically said to ask a vet, which I was probably going to do anyway. Compared to other pet tests I’ve tried, it just felt like... I don’t know, not really worth it for me.

"The relative matches ended up being surprisingly helpful"
I didn’t expect much from the relative matches, but they were actually useful. I started noticing certain patterns in the dogs that showed up, and I’m assuming they’re from the same general family line as mine. It was really fun to find some of my dog’s relatives and compare little traits.
